Depends now.
I'm grandfathered in, so I get PTO based on hours scheduled. And I can earn PTO when I take PTO, the same as if I had actually worked those hours.
The new hires get PTO based on actual hours worked.

I get 120 hrs of PTO a year.
We can earn up to 120 hours and if we exceed more, it goes to comp time. That sort of sucks though when your commission based. Not bad if your salary though.
